Salvation

INTRODUCTION:  This lesson we will discover the steps necessary for being saved AND conversion or being born again.

S-1            God is love and love wants to redeem us. 1 John 4:8, 9

S-2            God created us in His image. Genesis 1:27-31

S-3            Sin destroyed our fellowship with God. Genesis 3:8

S-4            Sin separated us from God. Romans 6:23

S-5            ALL have sinned. Romans 3:23

S-6            Adam brought death, Jesus brings life. Romans 5:18, 19

S-7            Jesus bore our curse. Galations 3:13

S-8            Jesus bore our consequences. Hebrews 2:8, 9

S-9            Jesus LONGS to save us. 2 Peter 3:9

S-10          As we repend He forgives. Acts 3:19

S-11        ONLY one condition for forgiveness. You must forgive others. Mark 11:25

S-12          What two things will repentance lead us to do?  Proverbs 28:13
                  1.     Confess our sins.
                  2.     Forsake them.

S-13          If we confess our sins, can we have assurance that they will be forgiven?   I John 1:9
                  1.     If we confess our sins Christ is faithful to forgive them.
                  2.     He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

S-14           How do we get power, courage and strength to live a Christian life? Galatians 2:20  By letting Christ live in us, we can live for Him and do what He wants us to do.

S-15           Saved by grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8

S-16           We become sons of God. John 1:12

S-17           Given the gift of eternal life. 1 John 5:11-13

S-18           One verse that sums it ALL up. John 3:16

We are saved IMMEDIATLY when we ask. Then we are converted by God's grace and following that we have a personal walk with God that leads to a santified life. This is an ongoing experience with ups and downs.
